#RealMidWales - Slow TV
As part of our #RealMidWales campaign, MWT ran a 'Slow TV' Live stream campaign in October 2018.
Four streams on four consecutive days, starting on October 16 (see dates & locations below).
Picking up on the success of Airbnb's campaign (National Parks Backyard) and the success Norway that received with their Slow TV campaigns we aimed to emulate this exciting concept and really get the message out about Mid Wales.
This was the first time 'Slow TV' was used in the UK to market a destination and MWT (Mid Wales Tourism) is proud to have led the way.
We were delighted to have been able to run this campaign with the support of Visit Wales who agreed to stream two live events to their nearly 1 million social media followers - providing us with some fantastic coverage for the Mid Wales region.
Other partners on the project included RSPB Cymru, National Trust Cymru, Hafren Dyfrdwy and Natural Resources Wales; without them and the support of Visit Wales this project would not have been possible.
